ITINERARY

DAY 1:Dar es Salaam international airport

Dar es Salaam is the recommended arrival point for southern safari circuit therefore your exciting adventure will start here. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam international airport, your will be met by your Tanzania safari representative and transfer to your hotel in the heart of the vibrant city.The actual journey time from the airport to the hotel is about 25 minutes but due to tight traffic in Dar es Salaam, the transfer may take up to two hours.When you arrive at the hotel, the staff will be waiting for you and help you to get to your room where you will rest and get over jetlag.

DAY 2:Dar es Salaam / Selous game Reserve

Breakfast will be provided at the hotel today, and then your Tanzania safari representative will pick you up from the hotel reception and transfer you back to Dar es Salaam airport. Fly to Selous Game Reserve and transfer to your safari lodge. The drive to your camp takes you along the river, so keep your eyes peeled for hippopotamus. After settling in, embark on your first game drive in Selous Game Reserve, Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuary.

DAY 3:Selous Game Reserve

You have a full day to delve deeper into the wilds of Selous Game Reserve, tracking lions, zebras, giraffes, baboons, impalas, elephants and buffalo with your Tanzania safari guide.

DAY 4:Selous game reserve

You have another look for unique wildlife experience as you drive into the vast bushes if the park. Cruise down the Rufiji River as you safari by boat in search of the elephants, hippos, buffalo and crocodiles that frequent the banks.

DAY 5:Selous game reserve / Ruaha National Park

Fly to Ruaha National Park and transfer to your safari lodge set high on a rocky kopje overlooking spiky palms and bulbous baobabs. Here, expert guides lead walking safaris, game drives and night drives in one of the continent’s largest and most bio-diverse wilderness areas.

DAY 6:Ruaha National Park

This morning, join your guide to explore the park’s rolling lowlands and wide sand rivers, keeping watch for herds of impala, greater kudu, waterbuck, zebra and elephant.

DAY 7:Ruaha National Park

Today, set out for the park’s wide-open plains, tracking elands, antelope, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, leopards, wild dogs and baboons

DAY 8:Ruaha National Park/Dar es Salaam

Fly to Dar es Salaam, where you are transferred to relax in your reserved dayroom. Later, you are transferred to the airport to board your departure flight.
