Weather
Uganda enjoys a tropical climate, with temperatures averaging between 22°C (72°F) and 28°C (82°F) throughout the year. The country experiences two rainy seasons: the first from March to May, and the second from September to November. These rainy periods bring heavy showers, particularly in the mountainous and rainforest areas.
The dry seasons from December to February and June to August are considered the best times for safaris, as wildlife is easier to spot near water sources. Uganda’s equatorial location means that temperatures remain relatively consistent year-round, making it an ideal destination for year-round travel.
