Zanzibar Beach Holiday

When To Go

Zanzibar is a year-round destination, but the best time to visit is during the dry seasons: June to October and December to February. These months bring sunny skies, calm seas, and ideal conditions for beach holidays, snorkeling, and diving. June to October also coincides with cooler temperatures, making it comfortable for sightseeing and cultural tours. December to February offers hotter weather, perfect for basking on the beaches.

The short rains in November are usually light and refreshing, with brief showers that rarely affect outdoor activities. From March to May, the long rains set in, bringing heavier downpours and lush green landscapes — beautiful but with more humidity and fewer crowds. If you prefer quieter travel and lower rates, visiting just before or after the rainy seasons can be rewarding.
