ITINERARY
DAY 1: Arrive Kigali
Arrive Kigali international Airport, meet by Instyle representative and transferred to your hotel in Kigali town. The rest of the day will be at leisure.
DAY 2: Drive to Virunga Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast at the hotel, you will check out and drive to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at the lodge and have a leisure afternoon.
Day 3 – Gorilla trekking
In the early morning you will transfer to the Kinigi district for a full-day trek in the Volcanoes National Park in search of rare mountain gorillas. The park protects roughly 300 of these endangered primates, and the family groups that you will be tracking are habituated.
Day 4: Golden monkeys
Spend the day searching for golden monkeys and other colourful rainforest inhabitants on guided walks through the park or on a hike to the top of the volcano. Specialised birding safaris can be arranged as well as historical tours and cultural visits to local villages.
Day 5: Farewell to the Virungas
After breakfast at the lodge you will check out and drive to Kigali. If time permits, a tour of the city can be arranged before your flight departs.
